Jan 10 – Feb 11, 2012	3D and 3 by 3 Show presented by the Placerville Arts Association. Reception: January 21, 2012 (6-8pm)
Feb 14 – Mar 10, 2012	The Threads That Bind: A Fiber Arts Exhibit featuring the wonderful fiber artists of El Dorado County. Spun, woven, sewn, quilted, embroidered, knitted, crocheted work, baskets – fiber arts galore! Reception: February 18, 2012 (6-8pm) An all-day “sheep to shawl” demonstration is planned starting at 11am.
Mar 13 – Apr 21, 2012	East Meets West, an all media exhibition of artistic expressions of the Far East coming to California, a prelude to the Community Read of Okei-San, written by Joan Barsotti. Receptions: March 17 & April 15 (6-8pm) Flowers Speak to Art (Mar 16-17, 2012) Local florists create floral art to relate to East Meets West art pieces.
Apr 24 – May 26, 2012	Water Themed Bricolage Bricolage has a theme this year!! “Bricolage” – A spontaneous and organic creative technique where art is constructed from whatever materials are on hand. Often a diverse range of things can happen in this “tinkering” method using found or recycled materials. Water!! - In honor of Earth Day we are adding a twist to our traditional Bricolage show by focusing on water. Water is a precious resource shaping life and death. Calm and reflective to turbulent, the diving force of water changes the world we inhabit. Water dramatically lends itself to the organically creative process, Bricolage in the smooth polish of rock, glass, shell and wood left behind to the sharp reflective mirrors and rusty patinas, and by its own fluidity and changing nature. The goal this year is for our artists to harness the creativity of this element and express how it affects our world through their bricolage pieces. Reception: May 19 (6-8pm)
May 29 – Jun 23, 2012	Emerging Artists (Juried Show)All media art exhibit featuring the works of El Dorado’s young emerging artists. Open to artists between the ages 12 to 24. Reception: June 16 (6-8pm)
Jun 26 – Jul 28, 2012	Forest for the Trees – An all media exhibition looking at the dichotomy between the organic shapes and textures of nature, and the sharp lines and slick surfaces produced by man by exploring our forests, orchards, and favorite trees. Reception: July 21 (6-8pm)
Jul 31 – Aug 25, 2012	Big Things – An artistic celebration of BIG art. El Dorado County artists create large pieces of work both 3D and visual. Minimum dimensions on visual work are 45” by 32”. Reception: August 18 (6-8pm)
Aug 28 – Oct 6, 2012	Colors of the Soul – An all media exhibition of the journey of healing. El Dorado artists create expressions of their journeys towards health and healing. Reception: September 15 (6-8pm)
Oct 9 – Nov 3, 2012	The Collectors – An all media invitational show. Reception: October 20 (6-8pm)
Nov 6 – Dec 1, 2012	Sierra Pastel Society’s Pastels On High Show Reception: November 17 (4-8pm)
Dec 4, 2012–Jan 5, 2013	Holiday Arts Market Reception: December 15 (6-8pm)
