In October El Dorado Arts Council and the El Dorado County Department of Economic Development are conducting an Arts Census to take the pulse of the economic environment for arts-related businesses.

To participate online, click below. There are only 4 to 6 questions, but you must answer them in one sitting so as to avoid timing out.

Participate in 2011 Arts Census

We invite you to participate if you live or work in El Dorado County and define yourself or your organization as a:

• Visual artist
• Musician
• Actor
• Writer or poet
• Arts Organization (theater, music, etc.)
• A business which hosts art or music events or sells art, such as a
  • Winery
  • Flower shop
  • Café
  • Restaurant
  • Gallery
  • Publisher
  • Arts-related store

If you are unable to take the survey online, you may take it over the phone by calling (530) 295-3496, Tue-Sat, 11am-5pm.

The survey time period ends on October 31, after which the results will be compiled and published. If you participate, you will be notified of the results.

Last year we compiled our county’s first Arts Census to help define the extent of our arts community and to establish a baseline. This year we hope to get more participation and more detailed responses. Your thoughtful answers will assist us and improve the overall results.
