Placerville's
Community Mural, A Thread of Gold
First Four Panels
Now on Main Street!
It's worth making a special trip to downtown Placerville
to see the first four panels of the collaborative community
mural, now installed on the chain link fence surrounding the
Herrick building on the west end of Main Street.
Local artists and students contributed to the collage entitled "A
Thread of Gold," which shows individual interpretations of what connects
us to our community. The Arts Council project is being managed by
talented muralists Jaime Jensen and Sheri Hoeger. If you'd like to
donate to make more panels possible, please contact EDAC. Each panel
costs about $1,000 to create, protect and install (not counting time
and materials supplied by contributing artists and students).
